Focused. Talented. Confident. Ro Parrish has taken the entertainment world by storm with two turntables, a microphone and determination to become a master of his art. Proving he excels in any field he chooses, Parrish’s extreme talent, raw ambition, tenacity and intense focus have propelled him upward into a diverse career spanning the media and entertainment industry.

While pursuing his degree at the University of North Texas in radio/television and film, Parrish’s dream of becoming a movie director was soon overshadowed by another passion for being in front of the camera. As a sophomore during a sports internship for WFAA Channel 8, Parrish’s talent and potential earned his debut on the NTTV screen as Sports Director, followed by a stint with WSAV/NBC as a sports anchor. This led to on-air/hosting opportunities with Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, Black Entertainment Television and Fox Sports Radio.

Parrish was also an integral part of the Arbitron-rated overall number one radio station in Dallas-Fort Worth, KKDA/K104 FM. There he ascended from a member of the street team to holding his own on-air time slot and overseeing an unprecedented twenty-week high school football program annually.

Further expanding his profession as an actor, print model and professional DJ, Parrish made his big-screen debut in the Universal Pictures’ film “American Gangster,” starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. As a nightclub and special event DJ, Parrish has provided the evening’s soundtrack at some of the hottest venues nationwide with hosts Lebron James, Nelly, Three-6 Mafia, Ice Cube, among countless others, and performed alongside and mixed at events with legendary DJ’s Don Cannon, Biz Markie and Kid Capri. He has also handled both public and private events for members of the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.

As the Dallas Mavericks’ official DJ, Parrish welcomes fans to every home game with the hottest music and entertainment. Parrish can currently be seen on Fox Sports Southwest as host of “Mavs Insider” and special correspondent for “Cowboys Insider,” taking fans of America’s team into “Ro’s Room” each week. Parrish also hosts the Dallas Mavericks’ Facebook radio show, “On the Block.”

A true jack of many trades, he continually positions himself to master more. Parrish declares himself a teacher of those who listen and a student of those willing to teach. Remaining focused on his purpose, Parrish still makes time to mentor young teens as an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
